Utiligel's uniqueness stems from its simple formula. Consisting of hard, high-melt gelled resin and a faster-drying blend of heatset solvents, Utiligel has only minimal plasticizers, modifiers, or vegetable oils. Thus, Utiligel VFX even further  maximizes drying performance without hurting any other important properties such as water pickup or scuff resistance. Consider using Utiligel VFX when press speeds run from 1500-3000 FPM (500-800 Meters/Min). Utiligel VFX is good for developing low-misting inks, also.

Most importantly, Utiligel VFX features high viscosity with a moderate tack (under 15 points @ 1200 RPM, Thwing-Albert Model 101). You can make inks with a tack as low as 6 points @ 1200 RPM that still "hold up" under high shear.
