This vehicle system has been optimized for use in paper and board, with possible applications with some surface-treated or oxidized films as well. RadionBase PBX series energy-curable bases feature soft easy-to-handle viscosity with excellent pigmentation levels.

Typically used to make more robust fade- and chemically resistant Warm Red inks than with Red Lake C pigment, 40% to 60% of RadionBase PBX Naphthol Red 2B by total formula weight is considered a normal loading for most paste ink formulas. Excellent results for coated and uncoated stock litho & web offset ink formulas can be obtained by blending RadionBase PBX dispersions with Radion Vehicle UVP composite letdown varnish.
