RadionBase PBX FAST Yellow 194 is a radiation-curable dispersion of 33% Benzimidazolone yellow (Pigment Yellow 194) in a mixed oligomer system. This vehicle system has been optimized for use in paper and board, with possible applications with some surface-treated or oxidized films as well. Recommended dosage of RadionBase PBX FAST Yellow 194 is 40%-55% by weight in a finished ink. RadionBase PBX series energy-curable bases feature soft easy-to-handle viscosity with excellent pigmentation levels.

 

Typically used to make fade-proof Process Yellow inks, Yellow 194 is considerably more robust than Yellow 13, Yellow 14 or Yellow 174. ​ Excellent results for coated and uncoated stock litho & web offset ink formulas can be obtained by blending RadionBase PBX dispersions with Radion Vehicle UVP composite letdown varnish. RadionBase PBX series bases can be used for mercury UV, HUV, and LED UV formulas. ​
