K-4 G base black is a gelled dispersion of 23.2% carbon black in a heatset vehicle. K-4 G Base Black is best used for low-tack (tack 8 and below) gloss heatset web offset inks in loadings of 65-80% by total formula weight. K-4 G responds well to freeflowing hydrocarbon resin gel vehicles with high gloss and print jetness, further rewarding the formulator with  lowest cost to manufacture. Use K-4 G for any low tack heatset bacl formulation where viscosity must be conserved and misting must be controlled.

Using high percentages of K-4 G gelled base black in heatset ink formulas allows for low cost and excellent print jetness.
