SoyaSpersion 1238 RS Reflex Blue is a high tint strength, red-shade multi-purpose dispersion of 38% Triarylmethane Violet & Blue (Phthalocyanine Blue) pigment in a Zero VOC, high bio content multipurpose vehicle for conventional paste inks. SoyaSpersion 1238 RS can be used alone for making many types of Red Shade Reflex Blue inks, using approximately 3 to 10% for most paste inks. In fact, SoyaSpersion 1238 RS can be used as a plug-in replacement for red-shade alkali blue in most cases. Using low resin content letdown vehicle can enhance the "bronzing effect" of this dispersion.

 

Typical Reflex Blue formulas call for 25 to 50% loading of SoyaSpersion 1238 RS. SoyaSpersion 1238 RS is outstanding for making Blue Shade 'Dense' Black inks.  Additionally, the high solids content of SoyaSpersion pigment preparations permit their use for high adhesion lithographic inks intended for printing on plastic film and metal. Metallic driers such as cobalt, manganese, zirconium and cerium are particularly effective when used with SoyaSpersion products.
