Utiligel's uniqueness stems from its simple formula. Consisting of hard, high-melt gelled resin and a wide-range blend of heatset solvents for extra on-press stability, Utiligel has only minimal plasticizers, modifiers, or vegetable oils. Thus, Utiligel FAST LT maximizes drying performance without hurting any other important properties such as water pickup or scuff resistance. Consider using Utiligel FAST LT when press speeds run from 1500-3000 FPM (500-800 Meters/Min). Utiligel FAST LT is good for developing low-misting inks, also.

Most importantly, Utiligel FAST LT features high viscosity with a moderate tack (under 20 points @ 1200 RPM, Thwing-Albert Model 101). You can make inks with a tack as low as 6 points @ 1200 RPM that still "hold up" under high shear.
