Soytex Extender VRL is a reduced drying speed version of Soytex Extender LZR. It is compatible with Soytex Extender LZR, and can be used to keep laser-compatible forms inks "open" on-press for longer periods of time.

Soytex Extender VRL has a large component of drying oils, so it can be modified with cobalt and manganese driers for speedier drying after impression at the cost of open time on the press. Soytex Extender VRL, just like Soytex Extender LZR, is cobalt & manganese drier-reactive, so drying speed can be increased over the base cure rate with their addition.

Like all other extender formulas from Kerley, it can be used as either a transparent white or as a letdown vehicle for making inks directly from pigment dispersions.
