RadionBase MDEC Naphthol Red 2B is a special-purpose dispersion of Naphthol 2B Red (Red, 48:1) pigment in a 100% acrylic vehicle for energy cured (UV or EB) paste inks. RadionBase MDEC Naphthol Red 2B can be used as the sole colorant for making a Warm Red mixing ink for Quickset/Sheetfed Lithographic metal decorating or for printing on non-porous plastic substrates where flexibility and adhesion are very important as characteristics.

Typically used to make mixing more robust fade- and chemically-resistant Warm Red inks than can be made with Red Lake C, 45% to 65% of RadionBase MDEC Naphthol Red 2B by total formula weight is considered a normal loading for most paste ink formulas. Excellent results for metal decorating  and plastic film ink formulas can be obtained by blending RadionBase MDEC dispersions with Radion Vehicle MDEC letdown vehicle. Epoxy and Polyester acrylates should be tested for compatibility with any RadionBase MDEC dispersion before use, as they are marginally compatible. RadionBase MDEC series bases can be used for mercury UV, HUV, and LED UV formulas.
