QSG™ Quickset Gel Litho Letdown Vehicle
Resin... a very large part of all ink vehicles is typically supplied as a hard, crystalline flake like the sample above. Kerley Ink takes resin and other ingredients and cooks them together to make millions of pounds of ink vehicles and varnishes every year.
QSG gelled letdown vehicle is an excellent low-tack, high viscosity vehicle for high performance quickset applications. QSG features very rapid setting speed, and very good gloss/holdout at today's low tacks. QSG can be used as a sole letdown vehicle, or in conjunction with other quickset vehicles. QSG is the second-fastest setting vehicle in our quickset vehicle product line, and it has an excellent viscosity-to-tack ratio. Speedex vehicle is the fastest setting vehicle we offer currently.
QSG has reduced VOC content and has a 36% bio/renewables percentage.
QSG is drier-reactive, responding well to cobalt- and manganese-based driers. QSG uses highly effective ultra-high molecular weight resin technology to deliver the fastest setting available while keeping VOC content at 35%.
